Fun and challenging. This is one I would consider adding to my collection, just because I haven't tackled anything that radical before. But too many resto projects already are waiting in the wings! |

It's amazing what folks sell on eBay these days. It must appeal to the 'I can fix that up' gene we all have somewhere! Just watch what it finally goes for..... A while back a broken Gibson 12-string (really broken) sold for just a few dollars less than what one in good condition will bring. I've got too many eBay 'treasures' as it is- gonna resist, gonna resist.... John |

BTW, this guitar looks unbound? It makes repair really tricky as there is no easy way to hide mis-alignment, etc... However, anybody who would take on this project could handle that, no doubt. |

Yup, the 15 series is unbound. I'd bet it will go for a price that makes the repair not worthwhile, even for one of us. Another one with the "oh, yeah, I can fix it up!" hook was a <<smashed>> 000-28 of no special vintage. It went for $700 IIRC. Maybe the buyer figured he could fix it up and sell it on ebay! |

A friend of mine recently sold an old L-00 on ebay for several hundred dollars. I don't even remember how many pieces it was in. There are folks out there who will buy just about anything. ![]() |

I think the boys at Fedex might be a little put out, shipping a guitar that's already broken! Takes all the fun out of the job. ![]() |

Im taking bids on this excellent instrument....apart from a few minor dents the instrument is perfectly playable and will no doubt increase in value in years to come. ![]() |
